Winter Birthday

Usually at some point in the holiday season I get bored with the Christmas stuff and just need a little non-holiday stamping but that didn't happen this year. Maybe its because I just don't have as much time to myself as I use to with two kids.

Anyway I did stop and create this card at some point but I just don't remember when I did it. I may have even cased the card from someone. My brain isn't working that great at the moment. Well this card was a prefect card for a December birthday because of the warm rich colors and of course the great birthday saying.

Now that Christmas is over I guess I can get back to the regular stamping and I should make some more birthday cards for my two little monsters because their birthdays are just a week away. How did the time fly by so fast?

Happy Canes

These are Happy Canes according to Malachi. He is truly loving the Christmas season. His excitement with the decorations, lights, and the talk of presents is so fun. He is doing really well with staying away from the presents. I even asked him if I could open my present and he said "no, not till Christmas." What a good little boy!

I made these for the boutique I participated in at the beginning of the month and I still have a couple left so I think I'll let Malachi give them to his friends at church on Sunday.

I used the Petite Pocket die and that awesome Scentsational Season Stamp set again. Really if you don't own this set, you are missing out!

Oh' Christmas Tree

I have this weird problem when I am stamping Christmas cards, they make me sing. For instance this image makes me sing, Oh, Christmas Tree. Sometimes its the name of the set that puts a song on the brain and other times its the image. I will be stamping away when all of a sudden I catch myself singing a song and then I purposefully stop singing and before I know it I am singing away.

I find it funny and its only Christmas stamps that make me do this, maybe its because I know so many Christmas songs.

Well its only 4 days until Christmas, I hope you have your Christmas shopping finished unlike myself. Believe it or not but shopping isn't one of my favorite task and it is especially that way during Christmas. I guess I will get it done this weekend because I have to, but not until I get some Disneyland fun today. Off to Disney with the hubby, where I will buy a Christmas present for Malachi.

Gingerbread

Here is one more of those cards from the Card Class I never held.

I will be honest in the fact that I don't really ever eat gingerbread but I do think they are so adorable. The Sentsational Season Stamp set has proven to be a great purchase this season because I have used it over and over again. If you haven't purchased it yet, make sure to do it before its to late.

Candy Canes

I have been playing with my Scentsational Season Stamp set more than any other stamp set this season. This is one of the cards that I made for a class that I never ended up having because time got away from me and I never planned a date for it. I love the simplicity of it and yet it is very pretty.

I would have to say that Cherry Cobbler is my all time favorite red to use, so naturally I grabbed for it when stamping the candy canes. The chevron paper is from the Festival of Prints DSP stack, this paper stack is awesome! I have used it over and over again. At first I wasn't sure how much use I would get out of it because of the size but I've definitely have gotten lots use from it. Side note, the Spring Catalog had a new DSP stack, yea!!

Jolly Smores

Do you love smores? I know I love them but usually only have them once a year when we are at the beach and have a bonfire. Well recently fellow demonstrator Charlotte Coombes posted some cute little smore kits using peeps, graham crackers, and some chocolate with directions to heat them in the microwave and I just had to make some myself.

Here is my version, using the No Peeking Stamp Set, a cello bag, and the Adorning Accents edgelits. I wasn't sure if the edgelit would cut through two layers of card stock but I thought I would try and sure enough it worked. I used a piece of 6x6 Real Red card stock and folded it in half and then I lined up the edgelit and ran it through my big shot. I will admit that I messed it up the first time and cut it crooked so I just redid it so my final piece folded in half ended up only about 2 1/4".

These are cute little gifts to give to your co-workers or neighbors.

December Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop

I am so excited for you have decided to come by and join me for the Stylin' Stampin' Squad Holiday Hop. This group of demonstrators are awesome! Make sure to let them know it! We have been doing this Blog hop for a year now and I think it just keeps getting better.

My first project is a card using the No Peeking Stamp set, I was inspired to make this card after seeing a card done by Marcee Rodgers. I didn't find a blog for her so I can't link you directly to her. I didn't copy her card completely but I did use the same colors and stamp set. I love the way my card turned out, it is so cheery and cute.

Items Used:
Stamp Set: No Peeking
Paper: Gumball Green, Very Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler, Festival of Prints DSP stack
Ink: Gumball Green, Basic Black, Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso
Other: 7/8" Cotton Ribbon

My next project are these cute little gift card holders. When someone mentioned in a Facebook thread that the Petite Pocket die can hold a gift card I was skeptical. I went to my craft room pulled out the die and cut one out, glued the edges and grabbed a gift card to try it out. Sure enough, they fit perfectly! Since I had a boutique this past weekend I whipped out some gift card holders to sell. I didn't make very many and I wish I would have made more but oh well. I sold out of these and got a special order for more.

So if you have gift cards to give away this Christmas why not make some with the Petite Pocket die.

Items Used
Stamp Set: Scentsational Season, No Peeking
Card Stock: Cherry Cobbler, Gumball Green, Island Indigo, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, Festival of Prints DSP stack

I'm Alive

Just in case anyone was wondering if I had died, nope I am just a slacker. About the middle of October I just feel like I became overly busy all the way until I went on vacation on the first of November. We were gone for 10 days to see my husbands family.

During my vacation I had time, I could have stamped and even blogged. Only two problems, I didn't have my stampin' supplies in Texas and two I my father-in-law has no computer or internet. After we came home it just seemed like I had no time or energy to stay up late to stamp. I've meant to blog for over a week now and I am finally getting around to it.

Now I promise I won't disappear  for six or more weeks anytime soon. I actually have some projects ready to share this month and tomorrow is the Stylin' Stampin' Blog Hop. So make sure to come back tomorrow.

This card is made from the Scentsational Season Stamp Set, Festival of Prints DSP stack, Island Indigo card stock/ink, Early Espresso card stock/ink, Holiday Framelit dies, and 7/8" Cotton Ribbon.
